The Federalist Honest Red Blend pays homage to one of the most highly regarded American President’s of all time, Abraham Lincoln. A good entrance with flavors of dark fruits and spice. A rich round mouth feel with a long finish. Dark purple with aromas of plums, blackberry, cassis and black current with a hint of spicy vanilla from time in barrel. Delicious entry, rich mid-palate and supple tannins with a touch of black cherry shining through. The dark fruits and spice carry through a long finish with great concentration of flavor. Try this with beef, particularly grilled or roast beef and filet mignon. As well as roasted chicken, lamb or pork tenderloin. Blend - 55% Merlot, 30% Zinfandel & 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
